Farewell Winter Grayling Season

As the Grayling season comes to an end we hope you enjoyed some good sport, in spite of the river conditions.

It would be great to hear of your notable catches and any pictures would be very welcome, monitoring the wealth of Grayling stocks is always very important to the club.

We soon move on into the Trout Season, the weather will hopefully relent, river levels stabilise and the trout will be happy to keep anglers busy.

If you’ve not yet renewed your membership, or  maybe you would like to join please remember you are now able to pay quickly and easily though on-line banking. Quick and easy.

EA Grayling Week

News for anglers about the Environment Agency Grayling Week.

“ We’ve set aside w/c 9th March as Grayling Week and are asking clubs to get as many people grayling fishing that week, culminating in a “Grayling Day” on Saturday 14th March, where we hope to get as many anglers out as possible.

All very much subject to this poor weather we’re having, hence advocating the entire week in the hope that even if Saturday is scuppered we might have had some data collected that week.

Individual clubs will decide methods applicable with their rules.

Anglers should fish from any time they wish to start on the Saturday, ending at 4pm and all anglers participating are invited to meet in the Daleside Arms pub at Croxdale from 4:30pm on the Saturday afternoon to discuss results and the event.

Please let us know who is attending so we can prepare the pub regarding numbers.

All anglers please record the catch data in the same way so we can analyse and compare easily.” Please use the link below for this
