Trout Fishing on the River Wear.

Not only Brown Trout, we also offer excellent Salmon and Sea Trout fishing too, not to mention increasing popularity with Grayling anglers, what’s more we are now welcoming members from further afield.

This is great water on the middle stretches of the River Wear, easily accessible from the North, South, East or West where we have always worked to keep our membership fees as low as possible. Don’t be fooled by the prices, great fishing doesn’t have to come with a high price. Take the example of an angler this year who fished the Tweed for a week, and blanked, as he travelled back to the south he stopped off at Willington where he finally avoided that blank.

Members return the majority of fish but stocking with triploids allows anglers to enjoy one for the pan without feeling guilty.
